Honestly - it's for the mantlepiece

I was approached by guest regarding something that her mum had bought on their visit to the Hill Tribes in Chang Mai.

Mum thought that it would be nice on the mantlepiece - her daughter indicated to me that the 'object' had been used and 'smelt a bit'

So what was mum going to do?
Does she tell customs?
Does she put it in her hand luggage?

I wonder what happened...

Where are my Shoes?

Every wedding that i take part in there is always something that happens which is unexpected and is possibly a disaster.

The bride and groom have agonized over the flowers, the food, the music and the day is all set up beautifully on the beach.

The groom arrives and breathlessly tells me;

"I have lost my shoes - she'll kill me!"

Looking at his feet I kick my shoes off and tell him that he can wear mine - the Master of Ceremony walking on a sandy beach barefoot can be understood but the Groom!

I wonder if he ever told her?

Relaxing in the Sun

As a lucky man living in Phuket I sometimes get an opportunity to take a break and try a number of different activities - once I decided to do nothing around the pool.  As I lay there trying to read a book I met a man who regaled me with his story about being in Thailand for the first tim - I will shorten it.

             1) I am only here to check on a property for a friend
             2) I have met someone - what do you think?
             3) I have helped her and family out - their Cow was dying so I bought a new one.
             4) We have begun a sort of relationship... what do you think?

BUT what am I going to tell the wife when I get home?
